Unlucky in love? Get dumped? Get beaten up by your girlfriend’s seven evil exes? Didn’t think so.
This is the premise of Universal’s latest comic book adaptation, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Now I know that the film has the two most oversaturated things in Hollywood right now…those being comic books and Michael Cera, but this trailer has me excited. From the look of it, the film blends the action of a comic book, with the style of a video game, which is what Scott Pilgrim is at its core. Give the trailer a look and tell us what you think.
There was DARPA who experimented on soldiers with LSD and now there’s ARPA who scrutinize peoples gates and perform mind control experiments on people. All government funded. It’s all true they just don’t talk about it….Well i’m not sure where this new George Clooney movie lands but it sure looks funny. George and a myriad of other stars act as the new generation of psychic soldiers, alongside reporter Ewan McGregor. Check it out:
Sometimes I’m a little slow on the uptake. I only just now have discovered the trailer to a little indie flick called White On Rice. It doesn’t go wide release until late September/early October, but it’s been making the rounds on the festival circuit for a few months now. Shame on me for not knowing until now.
When did vampires become a reason for guys to wear eye liner? What’s more, what the hell is the deal with the Twilight vamps sparkling in the sunlight? I am not a fan of vampire revision. I want it bloody, I want it cool. I do however enjoy the campy vamp movies. The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer, My Best Friends a Vampire, and the classic Jim Carrey film Once Bitten.
I’m loving those red band trailers. Especially when we get footage like the kind we see in the trailer for Jennifer’s Body.
I know nothing of the franchise. I’ve never watched the cartoon. I own none of the toys. Somehow, though, I am excited for this film. I think it really boils down to one thing. Shyamalan is a great director, who has relied on his own material for far too long. Finally, he is working with an already existing concept, and writers who aren’t concerned with “how am I going to surprise my audience next?” With his directorial vision and the right script (yes he has a writing credit on the film, but it isn’t his script) this film could be remarkable. Check out the teaser trailer and judge for yourself:
This is something I’ve been waiting a long time to see. I’m not sure if anyone else had heard about this. If you have, then you share my excitement. If not, then prepare to pick up what Black Dynamite is throwin’ down. It just previewed at Sundance and I’ve heard a lot of good buzz. Coming this September is……Black Dynamite
Every now and again we luck out and someone will bring something to our attention that might have otherwise slipped under our radar. Imagine how we felt when we saw the trailer for a mockumentary about the competitive world of…Rock, Paper, Scissors.
The Flying Scissors trailer was brought to our attention over the mighty, mighty waves that are the internet, by writer/producer Blake J. Harris. Not only are we glad it was brought to our attention, but this hilarious trailer now has us perched in anticipation for the film’s release. Watch the trailer and judge for yourself:
