I have a confession to make. I hate Superman. Not on a Lex Luthor level. I don’t want to kill him or step on his cape or anything. He never kicked my cat or froze my dog with his breath. No, nothing like that. I just never got into the character. Sure, the original Superman with Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder is a classic and so is Superman 2. But, to me, old Supes will always be the Big Blue Boy Scout. He always had a solution or a power for every problem or obstacle. That’s not fun. To me, that gets old and boring very fast.
In Green Lantern news, writer extraordinaire and new Chief Creative Officer for DC Comics Geoff Johns visited the set and confirmed in a Twitter post that Mark Strong will indeed be playing Sinestro. With the DC comic book production company and Warner Brothers slowly removing their own heads from their collective asses, we’re starting to hear rumors about a Green Lantern movie. Now it’s my opinion that DC has a slew of good super heroes. What’s that? With a slew of good super heroes why are they only focusing on Superman and Batman? That brings me back to the head and asses thing. Well this week finally some news about the movie I’ve been waiting forever for DC to remember they owned the rights to.
