G.I Joe: Resolute DVD (Just For The Hell Of It)
G.I . Joe: Resolute is an animated movie that was originally aired as 10 minute episodes on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. It’s a fresh approach to the franchise, with a realistic take on the action and intrigue. It’s written by Warren Ellis (The Authority, Planetary), one of the greatest, mad genius’ of comic book writers and what he brings to the franchise changes it while keeping it as fun as it ever was. Ong Bak 2 (Lonely Devil)
The long wait is over, Tony Jaa is finally back! This time around it’s a martial arts epic that has Jaa displaying various different styles and a larger budget. The movie itself isn’t ground breaking, but if you take it for what it is, a martial arts flick and nothing more, you may be satisfied with the outcome. 2 ½ pitchforks. Read the rest of this entry
Surrogates
Back in 2003, Robert Vendetti came up with a manuscript for a story. This story worked well enough to have Top Shelf, a comic company, make a graphic novel out of it-but unfortunately it doesn’t quite translate well into a feature film. Surrogates starring Bruce Willis is based on the Surrogates graphic novel and doesn’t hit the mark. Read the rest of this entry
