Get Him To The Greek

Get Him to the Greek chronicles the trip of a geeky and awkward music industry intern, Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) who is put with the task of escorting drug and alcohol addicted rockstar Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) from London to Los Angeles. Sean Combs (aka P. Diddy) plays Jonah Hill’s ball-busting music industry boss who wants something new in the music industry to improve revenues. Aaron Green suggests an anniversary  concert at the famed Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

Look for guest appearances from Tom Felton (who plays Draco Malfoy in the  Harry Potter series) and the typical entertainment show hosts (Billy Bush, Zoe Salmon, Meredith Viera, Mario Lopez, etc). The relationship between Aaron Green and Aldous Snow gets even more complicated once they make a pitstop in Vegas and Sergio Roma (P. Diddy) shows up to help get things going…crazier. Honestly, the first half of the movie is a little slow, but once the duo hits Vegas, things pick up and the movie takes off in a hilarious, non-stop, action-packed, comedy free-for-all which makes the movie shine. Jonah Hill shines as Aaron Green, and P. Diddy is amazing as a comedic actor.

Who likes short shorts?

If you are a fan of the “prequel” Forgetting Sarah Marshall, you would love this film. Fortunately, it is not the same as a sequel.  I would call it more of a continuation of Sarah Marshall because it is more of a continuation of Aldous Snow’s life rather than the rest of the original cast. I would love for the writers, Jason Segel, and Nicholas Stoller, to write another installment in another cast member’s life as another “sequel” because their writing, and the talents of the actors mesh so perfectly well and create a hilarious movie.
