The Proposal (Lil Devil)
Ok short and sweet. So with Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen out and about to take over the weekly box office I wanted to make mention of last week’s winner. The Proposal is a movie about two people who hate each other at first, then fall in love. I know this seems something new for Hollywood but bear with me.

Once again Sandra Bullock is the man in the relationship.
It’s a romantic comedy just like the rest. Ryan Reynolds (the man who would be Deadpool) plays a guy trying to work his way up in the book editing business, while Sandra Bullock is a mean boss trying to keep him down. When she finds out she is being deported back to Canada she blackmails Reynolds into marrying her. To keep up the act she has to accompany him to his home for his Grandma’s 90th birthday in Alaska (played amazingly by Betty White).
It’s a formula date flick. However what makes it different is they don’t spend a ton of time making the characters like each other. Reynolds is as funny as ever, and Bullock can do slapstick with the best of them. They focus on the issue at hand, and the writer paints great characters. I’m not sure what else you can ask for?
Overall I was extremely pleased with this film, so not to drone on at length, trying to take up space, I give it 4 pitchforks.

My fiancee mentioned interest in this film and I am interested in it as well.
May have to see this soon.
Nice review Patrick.
One highlight I enjoyed in this film was Bullock and White gettin’ jiggy with it to “Get Low”. That alone is worth the admission price.
